Faces of Social Work: Empowering Social Workers, Transforming Lives

A platform dedicated to fostering change, uplifting professionals, and empowering communities in need.

Our Mission: Empower, Educate, Uplift

Faces of Social Work has been created by a Social Worker, for Social Workers, with a vision to embolden the values and ethics of the profession while empowering and uplifting those within the field.

Our mission is to act as a catalyst for social workers’ growth by providing tools and insights to navigate the challenges they face, primarily in the UK, though these challenges are often universal.

Respect and promote the human rights, views, wishes, and feelings of the people you work with.

The Journey Behind Faces of Social Work

Founded in June 2020 by a social worker with over 12 years of experience in frontline child protection, Faces of Social Work was born out of a desire to address the systemic issues that social workers face.

Despite geographical differences, the struggles resonate across regions—high caseloads, office politics, unrealistic expectations, and more. The average career length of a social worker is just 7 years, compared to 25 years for doctors. Our founder’s firsthand experience navigating these challenges inspired a vision for reform and empowerment in the profession.

Reflect on my working environment and where necessary challenge practices, systems and process to uphold social work englands professional standards.
